Frequently Aked Questions
What is ‘Galactic Crew’?
Galactic Crew is a roguelike game that takes place in a galaxy far away. You start the game as a captain of a small spaceship with a few crew members and limited resources. During your journey through the outer space you have to face dangerous encounters like space pirates and mad scientists. You willl need to trade with merchants and space stations to get resources and better ship equipments and numerous events will require your wisdom to get solved.
The main focus of this game is event-based story-telling, space combat and planetary exploration. Once you have a teleporter on your ship, you can use it to beam your crew on a planet’s surface to explore ancient ruins, discover medieval villages or attack pirate outposts.
Before starting the game, you need to create a character by selecting a race, a gender, a story background and you need to select a career you want to persue. Maybe you want to become the wealthiest trader, the best bounty hunter, the most formidable space pirate or even a slave trader? No problem! Your career and background set the starting point and the goals in the game you need to accomplish and they will also affect events and game mechanics. However, the base mechanics with space and planetory exploration will stay the same.

No. Galactic Crew uses its own custom game engine which is based on the Microsoft .NET Framework and the DirectX API and it uses many Windows API functions. Access denied 0x5
A user reported that this error shows up when he wants to start Galactic Crew. This error occurred because the user’s anti virus software blocked Galactic Crew. After doing some web research I found players from other games getting the same error message. The reason for their error message was either an anti-virus software that didn’t like the game or the game was installed in a folder where the Windows user has insufficient rights. For example, the “Program Files” folder got more restrictions with the latest versions of Microsoft Windows.
